Biografía

Jan Stuhler se doctoró en Economía en el University College of London. Es catedrático de Economía del Departamento de Economía de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, tras haber sido profesor ayudante doctor (Assistant Professor) y profesor titular (Associate Professor) en la misma universidad. Es miembro del consejo de la European Economic Association. Está afiliado al Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM), al Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI), al Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA), al Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) y a CESifo, entre otras instituciones. Ha sido galardonado con una ERC Consolidator Grant, el Premio de Investigación "Julián Marías" de la Comunidad de Madrid (2021) y el Premio Fundación Banco Sabadell a la Investigación Económica (2025). Trabaja en economía laboral, economía pública, microeconometría, migración y movilidad intergeneracional. Es coeditor de Labour Economics y anteriormente fue miembro del panel de Economic Policy, además de haber sido profesor visitante en el Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) e investigador visitante en la Universidad de Harvard.
