Biografía

Klaus Desmet es catedrático de la Southern Methodist University desde 2014, después de haber sido profesor en la UC3M. Doctor en economía por la Universidad de Stanford, es Research Associate de la National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) y Research Fellow de la Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Su investigación se centra en economía regional y urbana, comercio internacional, crecimiento a largo plazo, y economía política. En 2010 ganó el Premio August Lösch y en 2019 el Premio Robert E. Lucas Jr.
