The MSc. in Economics at Universidad Carlos III provided me with the opportunity to establish a strong quantitative basis that has been paramount for my professional path. In particular, it exceeded my expectations in guiding me to the job I was aiming for: public policy evaluation within government institutions. The international environment, high reputation of the university and competitive content in economics make this an enriching experience for anyone pursuing a similar career.

The Master in Economics at the UC3M is a comprehensive education that prepares you for a future career in academia as well as the private and public sector. The professors all come from reputable institutions and the learning atmosphere within UC3M is international. The classes cover the basis needed for further studies on a PhD level and the set of elective classes enhances these core competencies. After one year at the UC3M, I can only recommend to obtain a Master in Economics from this institution.

During my graduate studies at UC3M, I acquired relevant quantitave and qualitative knowledge that allowed me to understand economics from a more rigorous perspective. The Master in Economics is a great opportunity to familiarizare yourself with reseach as well as a good preparation for doctoral studies.

Being part of the first class of the Master in Economics in UC3M was a very enriching experience, the most impactful one of my academic life. Especially for a first edition, the Master had a great faculty with very knoleadgeable, experienced and, most of all, acessible professors that not only educated us, but inspired us too, even making me seriously consider an academic career. I was also lucky to meet an international, friendly and intelligent group of colleagues and friends, which together with the life in central Madrid, made the whole experience a very happy one! The integration with the Master in Industrial Economics was also a positive factor, granting us the possibility to expand our network with the more experienced structure of the predecessor Master. Since I graduated, I have had the opportunity to work in prestigious organizations and I know that the reputation that UC3M carries in its name, in my CV, has definitely helped getting such opportunities.

It’s a great experience in my life that studied at the University Carlos III of Madrid. First of all, UC3M is very international, all my classmates are from all over the world and we became good friends. Second, all the professors are very professional and knowledgeable, they have great teaching skill and very kind. Third, during the academic year, the major provided me with a working knowledge of the main tools of quantitative economics. Now I am doing a PhD program in Applied Economics at the University of Alicante, I should say thank you to the Master in Economics of UC3M, because it served me an important step to pursue a research career by enrolling into a PhD program in economics.
