Jorge García Hombrados

Biografía

Jorge se incorporó a la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid como investigador Ramón y Cajal en septiembre de 2026, tras haber trabajado en la International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie), J-PAL Latinoamérica, la London School of Economics y la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Es también investigador asociado (research fellow) en el IZA y en la Global Labor Organization, e investigador invitado en J-PAL. Se doctoró en Economía por la Universidad de Sussex en enero de 2018. Su investigación se centra en temas de economía del desarrollo aplicada. Estudia las causas, consecuencias y evolución de las normas sociales dañinas en el África subsahariana, la relación entre instituciones, capital social y criminalidad en América Latina, y la oferta y la demanda de políticas basadas en evidencia.
